Dennis Ancrum, MBA, PE
CEO & Principal Engineer
DA Engineering Services, LLC (DAES) began in 2018 by providing lighting designs to various residential and commercial clients in the Southeast. Currently, our goal is to provide quality-assured engineering services to electrical cooperatives, municipalities, investor-owned utilities, and private entities.
DAES is a niche firm, adept at addressing the challenges our clients face with the constantly-evolving sources of power on the electric grid. We are a certified Disadvantaged Business Enterprise (DBE) and Minority Business Enterprise (MBE) offering reasonable rates and a value-added approach to solving your electrical design needs. Dennis Ancrum, DAES’s CEO and Principal Engineer, has an in-depth understanding of the challenges faced by electric utilities. Dennis has more than 23 years of experience serving clients in the electric utility industry. Specializing in power distribution and substation design, Dennis has managed cross-functional teams focused on transmission designs, substation designs, distribution designs, site development, construction management and testing and commissioning. He has a Master of Business Administration degree with a focus on project management, and a Bachelor of Science degree in Electrical Engineering. Dennis is a Licensed Professional Engineer in nine states of AL, FL, GA, IA, IN, MS, NC, SC and TN.
At DAES our goal is work closely with our clients serving as an extension of their existing engineering department. Time and effort are placed on learning each client’s standard documentation, practices and procedures. DAES can also help to create those standards if none exist. Drawing from years of experience with the NESC, NEC, RUS, GO 95 and various other electrical codes, DAES’s goal is to listen to its clients’ needs and tailor a safe and cost-efficient solution to each project. Regardless to the size of the project, DAES strives to exceed each client’s expectations.
